(Harin) Amendra de S. Wijeyeratne is the founder of Avastha Financial Advisory Services and co-founder of Kalyana Sri Lanka, a mental health advocacy group. He is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and a fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK. With over 30 years of experience in general management, financial management, and auditing, Harin has worked at Investcorp Bank, Grindlays Bank, and Ernst & Young in Bahrain and Sri Lanka.
He is a director at DFCC Bank, Trans Asia Hotels, and CTC, and chairs the audit committee at MAS Holdings. Harin has also been CEO of SLINTEC and independent director at Union Assurance PLC. Additionally, he serves on the boards of the Gamini Corea Trust and SLINTEC Endowment Trust Fund.

His work involves close collaboration with key stakeholders, including the Office for Reparations under the Ministry of Justice, to promote healing, justice, and resilience within communities.
Shiyamalan’s contributions include advancing mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) frameworks, enhancing vocational training programs, and tailoring interventions for persons with disabilities. His ability to integrate culturally sensitive approaches with evidence-based practices has been critical in fostering social cohesion and empowering underserved populations.
In addition to his consultancy work, Shiyamalan provides clinical psychological services and engages in capacity-building efforts for practitioners and organizations. His expertise spans cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma recovery, and the development of community-based psychosocial projects.
