ISSUP- International Society of Substance Use Professionals
ISSUP plays a unique role within the substance use prevention, treatment and recovery support fields by providing a focal point for information and access to professional development opportunities. Its establishment has only been possible, and its role and sustainability will only be possible, through the collaboration and support provided by the major international agencies working in the drugs field. In particular, ISSUP had been able to implement its activities in consultation with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the World Health Organization (WHO), the Organization of American States (OAS), and the African Union. These organizations have now become International Observers to ISSUPs Board of Directors.
